Steven “Haug” Haughelstine has spent his career on both sides of the lens—and in the heart of the action. A Director, DP, and filmmaker with a lifetime rooted in adventure sports. He brings a rare combination of athletic instinct, technical precision, and cinematic vision to his work.
A three-time X Games Gold Medalist, twice for cinematography and once as a motocross athlete. Steven is also a SAG-AFTRA stunt performer specializing in precision bicycle, motorcycle, and automotive driving. His lifelong connection to adventure sports gives him an instinctive understanding of movement, risk, and the moments that can't be rehearsed.
Blending the raw authenticity of action sports with the artistry of high-end cinema, his work spans high-action commercial film making and immersive, experiential storytelling. His specialty lies in capturing moments that happen only once, often in the most demanding environments, and translating them into cinematic experiences.
That same philosophy extends beyond the director's chair. Through WHERENOW Productions, a dedicated production company built around his approach to image capture, Steven brings together the creative vision, technical expertise, and experienced crews needed to take ambitious ideas from concept through completion. Collaborative by nature and hands-on in execution, he thrives on finding creative solutions, pushing boundaries, and bringing imagination into reality.
